A beautiful handmade quilt, designed and handmade by Bohome. My starting point is always “what would I like for my own home”
A traditional Americana design, made very simple. Just 2 colours, red and ivory with Ohio stars, made big enough not to over complicate the quilt. I decided not to add an inter-liner, because it would have made this large quilt very heavy, so it’s been left as 2 pieces of fabric, with a simple squared stitch overlaying the entire quilt, then finished off with a simple red edging (So technically a bedspread rather than a quilt)
To count the days these take to make would make the quilt impossible to price as it’s not hours, it’s days! I’ll be releasing tiny quantities on the website every 6 weeks to give enough time to create these handmade beauties.
They come in one size. A size that I’ve considered to be best for all bed sizes (excluding singles) They will also be truely beautiful drapped over a sofa.
I am hoping that these will last a lifetime, if well looked after, and true to the Bohome spirit, become a vintage piece, passed down from families to come 🤍
